Travel to João PessoaThe airport in Joao Pessoa is about 20 minutes by car from the center of Joao Pessoa. The name of the airport is Joao Pessoa - Castro Pinto Aeroporto (JPA). Flying to Joao Pessoa is easy while many flights are trafficing the airport. The airport is also being renovated to a international airport. Today you have to first fly to one of the bigger cities if you are coming with international flights. Bigger airports is for example Sao Paulo, Recife, Natal, and Brasilia to mention some of them. After coming to Brasil, you have to take some of the national flights like Tam or Gol to get to Joao Pessoa. If you are flying from Europe you can go with Tap from Lisboa, Iberia from Madrid or with Lufthansa for example. From the United states you can fly from Miami or Chicago to Sao Paulo or Fortaleza and from there you take the national flight. Of course you can travel in Brasil with bus, but since you dont want to waste time its recommended to fly. But if you are coming from Recife you can take the bus because its only about 2 hours away.
